Biography

A dual perspective: Code, cosmos, and complex systems.

Who I Am (Chaotic Version)

• I live between Austin, Texas and Chengdu, China, which means I don't believe in a single timezone.

• I spend an hour meditating every day, mostly to recalibrate my internal perception of spacetime in deep flow.

• I run 96-hour fasts three times a year just to see how efficiently my cellular engine can run.

• I point smart telescopes at faint nebulae on pitch-black mountain routes.

• I still trust physical display cables infinitely more than wireless screen casting.

• I back stage-zero AI startups long before the hype and actually land the hits, while holding tech stocks through crashes—my nervous system simply lacks a panic button.

• My son is an AI algorithm scientist, which means our family arguments require peer review.

• This list is subject to sudden logic audits.

Who I Am (LinkedIn-ish Version)

I am a hard science fiction author and independent scholar. I hold degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration (MBA), alongside executive education at MIT Sloan and UC Berkeley Haas. After years analyzing complex financial and tech systems, I now build fictional ones.

My debut English novel, RIFT: Gestalt, is developed in close scientific consultation with my son, an AI algorithm researcher.

Writing philosophy

Uncompromising logic. Systemic choices.

What I Write

I write uncompromising hard science fiction built on rigorous physical logic, systemic disruptions, and realistic technological leaps. If you prefer soft space fantasy with hand-waving physics, my books might frustrate you. But if you enjoy tight logic, high-stakes system collapses, and deep-space worldbuilding, you'll feel right at home.

Why I Write

To examine what breaks first when human civilization faces a monumental leap—whether it's our economic accounting, our ethics, or our language. Technology itself isn't evil or benevolent; it is merely a high-leverage mirror held up to human nature.

Who I Write For

• Readers who demand rigorous physics alongside their existential dread.

• Engineers, thinkers, and late-night stargazers who look up and wonder about the accounting layer of the universe.

• Anyone who believes science fiction should make you think harder, not just sleep easier.

In Progress

Beside fiction, I am writing OUTGROW (2016–2026)—a non-fiction memoir and systemic documentation of the decade that transformed our world. Scheduled for publication in 2027, it serves as the real-world prelude to RIFT: Gestalt, examining the actual inflection points that brought us to the edge of the future.
